Men Ministry

The purpose of this ministry is to strengthen men in the church with the word of God and to become a godly man in the family and in the business world. They meet semi-monthly. Over 50 men participated in that ministry. One of the goals of the men’s department was to raise money for a van, and now MCC owns a 15-passenger van. Another objective is to purchase a truck and lawnmower for the church campus.

Women Ministry

The women’s ministry in the Myanmar Christian Church is also called the Ruby Myanmar Fellowship. This ministry meets every Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. These women are praying and worshiping together. The purpose of this ministry is to strengthen women in the church in their relation to God and to each other.
In this ministry, each woman has a saving box for the support of the Bible College in Myanmar. That money from the box is collected twice a year. Other than the saving box, each woman collects a handful of rice each Sunday for the support of missions. Later, someone purchases the rice and that money is donated to missions.

Kids

The children’s ministry is a ministry that seeks to reach children in the Burmese community. This ministry will bring the Good News to those children and guide them in their lives of faith and likeness to Christ. Under this children’s ministry, Sunday school is included as a part of this ministry. Every Sunday, the Sunday school teachers teach them the word of God, prayer, and worship. Every Sunday, teachers celebrate these kids’ current birthdays.

Youth

MCC Youth Ministry meets on every Saturday at 6 p.m. The youth group meets at the church to study, worship and praise God together. This youth ministry is reaching other un-churched young people and bringing them into the church. The membership is about 80 young people.

Prayer

A prayer ministry is vital to the church. Prayer teams meet every Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. They pray for the pastor, the members of the Church, the plan of construction, the missions and the nations. The main focus is that individuals and nations will have peace.
Often times, the prayer groups pray for the lost, sick and needy, including those who are in need of employment.

God has indeed answered our prayers. In the last four years, three families have been praying for a child and now, these families are with child. Also, there are three children who have had some serious medical complications. One child was born pre-mature and the other two children according to the doctor did not breathe upon birth. Now, all these three children have been miraculously healed and are doing well.
